The Art Association of Oswego is pleased to announce the upcoming opening of a new exhibition by Truth Seekers, a diverse group of creative individuals from various denominations who serve God through their art.
This Oswego-based group’s vision is to share its common faith in Christ through creative expression. Its goal is to bring together like-minded individuals who have an interest in expressing their faith through their art. (Pictured on the right is "Lake Ice" by Peter Mahan.)
The “God of Wonders” show is a collection of art in several mediums including photography, pottery, sculpture, collage, painting, drawing, and poetry depicting the sacred in nature and in our lives. The exhibition will be in the upstairs gallery at the Art Association building in Oswego. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, Aug. 30 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. At that time, guests will have the opportunity to meet the artists and discuss their work. The show will run from Aug. 30 until Sept. 28.
The Art Association is located in the red building at the North end of East Fourth Street, just before the entrance to Fort Ontario. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., or by appointment. For additional information, visit the AAO website: www.oswegoarts.org.
