Write a commentThe Oswego County Autism Task Force is pleased to announce grant monies that will be available to not-for-profit organizations that are currently serving or seeking to provide new opportunities to individuals and families touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder.
As a result of ongoing survey and community feedback, at this time proposals that allow for opportunities for youth during non-school hours, including after school, evenings, weekends, breaks, and summer programs are encouraged.
In addition to being a not-for-profit organization in the Oswego County area, projects may serve any range of youth or their families. All proposed projects should address the diverse interests of individuals with autism and their families including but not limited to: artistic expression, recreation, leisure time, educational, and social skills development and should have clear and measurable goals.
Applicants are encouraged to partner with other local service organizations but are not required. Priority will be given to grants that serve as seed money for future activities, and those projects that have a long lasting impact. Requests from a single agency may not exceed $1000.00, and cannot be used for equipment, capital improvement, to off-set wages of current staff, or to cover administrative overhead.
