B. Elizabeth Forsyth, 102, of Oswego, died January 19, 2019 at Morningstar Residential Care.
Born in Louisburg, New York, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Lillian (Gonyou) Whalen.
She was a homemaker and a Girl Scout leader for 24 years. She was also a member of the Coast Guard Aux for 10 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Gin Gebo; a son Donald F. Forsyth Sr. (Patricia Furman); six grandchildren, Linda (Daniel) Murdock, Donald Forsyth Jr. (Gaye Cooper), Amy (Robert) Goldman, Mary Jo Landino, Julie (Joseph) DeSantis and Barbara Gebo; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frederick “Neil” Forsyth, a son John J. (Nita) Forsyth; brothers, John (Mary Jane) Whalen and Clarence (Gladys) Whalen, a daughter in law, Rachel Forsyth, and a great-grandson, Daniel Murdock.

Calling hours will be 2-4 pm on Sunday, January 27th 2019 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany Street.
Funeral Services will be held 10AM Monday, January 28th, at Christ the Good Shepard at St. Paul’s Church, 50 E. Mohawk St. Entombment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, All-Saints Mausoleum.
