Write a commentBarbara Ann Sharkey, 74, of Oswego, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side.
Barb was a life-long resident of Oswego and also lived for a time in Fair Haven, NY.
She worked for ten years as the head cook at the Ladies Home in Oswego, but valued raising her family as her most rewarding and treasured job.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Earl Sharkey Sr.; eight children, Earl (Brenda) Sharkey; Beth (Ross) Younglove Jr.; Fred (Laurie) Sharkey; Barry (Dena) Sharkey; Brad (Raeann) Sharkey; Brenda Sharkey; Greg (Christina) Sharkey; Mark (Jennifer) Sharkey; 27 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; her brother William (Sherry) Hill; her beloved sister-in-law Ella Cooper and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 4 p.m. Friday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
There are no calling hours.
