Born in Watertown, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred (Saunders) Hamilton.
She worked in payroll for Auxiliary Services at Oswego State University.
Barbara enjoyed camping and day trips with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters Michele Batchelor (Tom Hopkins) of Oswego, Karen Baker of Oswego, twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband James O’Leary, three sons, Michael, James and Dennis O’Leary, two brothers, James and Gordon Hamilton, and two sisters, Marion Curry and Shirley Chalifoux.
Calling hours will be held 10:00-11:00a.m. Saturday with a service to follow at 11:00a.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home 11 West Albany Street Oswego.
