Write a commentBarbara L. Ayers, 79, of Oswego passed away on November 3, 2022.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Mary (LaVere) Murabito.
Barbara was a teacher’s aide at St. Mary’s School and Leighton Elementary for many years. She also worked as a clerk at Oswego Price Chopper.
Barbara enjoyed quilting, needle kraft, and reading.
She is survived by her sons George William “Bill” Ayers (Mary Trapasso-Ayers) and Gregory Ayers, her brother Ronald J. Murabito of Tennessee, three grandchildren Danielle, Brendon, and Samual Ayers, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Bill Ayers, and her brother Charles J. Murabito Jr.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date which will be announced and burial will take place in St. Peter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara’s name to the Oswego YMCA. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
