Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C,I—Pulaski) today announced that he has received the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) for re-election to the 120th Assembly seat.

NFIB-New York is among the state’s most respected business organizations advocating for small businesses, job creators and statewide economic growth.

“I am honored to have key partners like NFIB-New York, who are constantly working to help our job creators and local economies. They have their ear to the ground and understand the struggles of being in business and remaining competitive with other states. I look forward to working further with them to develop solutions as our small business and communities begin their critical recovery," said Barclay.

“As Leader of the State Assembly Republican Conference, Will Barclay is a trusted partner of NFIB’s and a tireless advocate in Albany for accountable government and fiscal responsibility. Even more important, Assemblyman Barclay has supported small businesses in the 120th district and across New York state his entire career, fighting for lower taxes, regulatory relief and locally driven economic growth. Because of COVID-19, small businesses face unprecedented challenges and an uncertain future. NFIB’s NY PAC is proudly supporting Will Barclay for reelection because he’s ready to face these challenges with us, stand up for small businesses and ensure New York’s recovery begins on Main Street,” said Greg Biryla, NFIB’s New York State Director.

Founded in 1943, NFIB is the state and the nation’s leading small-business association. For more than 76 years, NFIB has has been advocating on behalf of America’s small and independent business owners, in Washington, D.C., and in all 50 state capitals. New York state legislative endorsements are determined by NFIB’s NY PAC, the association’s state political action committee comprised of actual small business owners from across New York state.

Leader Barclay will be on the ballot on Nov. 3. He represents the 120th Assembly District, which includes the Oswego County towns of Albion, Amboy, Boylston, Constantia, Granby, Hastings, Mexico, New Haven, Orwell, Palermo, Parish, Redfield, Richland, Sandy Creek, Schroeppel, Scriba, Volney, West Monroe and Williamstown; the cities of Oswego and Fulton; the Onondaga County town of Lysander; and the Jefferson County town of Ellisburg. In January, he was elected unanimously by his colleagues as the Leader of the Assembly Minority Conference.
