Write a commentBetty E. Martin, 83, a resident of Town of Oswego, passed away June 4, 2014, at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, surrounded by her family.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel (Coon) Murray. Betty worked as a Kitchen Aide for the Hannibal School District. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Surviving is one son, Warren "Pep" (Marilyn) Martin of Town of Oswego; one daughter, Elaine Newman of Oswego; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Warren A. Martin in 1987; two sons, Gerald Martin and Walter Martin; four sisters, Mary Scruton, Delores Ball, Marlene Harrison, and Joann Hedges.
There will be no calling hours, upon her request.
Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 10th at St. Mary's Church.
Burial will be held privately in St. Peter's Cemetery.
