Betty-Jo Woodard, 65, of Oswego, died July 29, 2019 after an aggressive battle with Early Onset Alzheimer’s.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Joyce (Knight) Gianetto.
She worked as a catering chef for Auxiliary Services at SUNY Oswego until she retired.
Her family was the most important thing to her. Betty-Jo was loved by anyone who met her and had the biggest, kindest heart. In addition to her family she loved all flowers, sunflowers being her favorite, birds, music, cooking and going to concerts among many other things.
Surviving are her husband, Kent P. Woodard Jr.; two daughters, Angela (Christopher) Cross and Jodi (Robert Konys) Woodard; her sisters, Ann Marie (Rev William) King and Marian (Jeff ) Wallace; brothers, SMSgt.USAF/retired Joseph (Dale) Gianetto of Liverpool and Dominick “Nick” (Diana) Gianetto of Town of Oswego; two step daughters, Amy (Michael) Cook and Dawn (Walter Purtell) Woodard both of Bernards Bay; six grandchildren, Allison Cross and Samantha Cross, Aloysius Woodard and Anastasya Woodard, Kayla and Abby Cook, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 2nd from 4-7PM at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. Funeral will be Saturday, August 3rd at 10AM in Elim Grace Church. A graveside service and burial will be held at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square.
