Beverly A. (Naioti) Breen, 89, of Oswego New York, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born on April 24, 1928 in Syracuse New York to William and Irene (Reilly) Breen.

Beverly graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Accounting.

She worked for the City of Fulton for many years until she moved to Oswego and became the Bursar Emeritus for the State University College at Oswego. She had also worked as an accountant with the County of Oswego, and co-owned East Bridge Antiques with a friend, Carolyn Long, and her daughter, Judy.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church for many years, and had formerly attended St. Paul’s Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic minister and also volunteered at local nursing homes to bring communion to patients.

She was also a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Beverly was active in the community serving as the Treasurer for the Friends of the Oswego Library.

Her sister, Mary Ellen, and her husband Leo J. Naioti Sr. preceded her in death.

She is survived by six children: Judy A. Naioti of Oswego, New York, Karen L. (Thomas) Kokernak of Massachusetts, David L. (Bonnie) Naioti of Fulton, New York, Susan I. (Paul) Dubrouillet of North Carolina, Leo J. (Mary K.) Naioti Jr. of Canandaigua, New York, and Maureen M. (Michael) Jandrisevits of Clifton Park, New York. She has eleven grandchildren, Momina, Melanie, Matthew, Eric, Allison, Katherine, Maura, Claire, Andrew, Michael, and Lily; and three great-grandchildren, Zoe, Carolyna, and Leo.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oswego.

Spring burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fulton.
