Write a commentBeverly Hourigan delivered $701.26 to the Oswego Animal Shelter on Sunday, September 1st. 2019, the proceeds from her second annual "Bev's Lemons" lemonade and bake sale.
Her first event for the Oswego Animal Shelter in 2017 raised $436.00. Towels, blankets and donations for the shelter were also accepted and distributed.
Hourigan is only twelve years old but was already an entrepreneur at age eleven. Just entering Oswego Middle School this week, she has the skills of a much older young adult. Hourigan is currently an avid horseback rider, an animal lover and not long ago rescued "Izzy" a small mixed breed dog and now their family pet. She was immediately taken with the idea of raising funds to help further the rescue's efforts, thus creating her now annual, event.
"She was so excited! The visit to the shelter to deliver the funds raised made it all worth the work. There are so many pets that need a forever home." stated proud mom to Beverly, Michelle Hourigan. "Please consider adopting a dog or cat from the Oswego Animal Shelter today." Hourigan concluded.
