On March 30, 2015, Blanche H. Howell, 99, a resident of Oswego passed away with her family by her side.
Born in Valley Head, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Mary (Daft) Hannah and had attended Tygart Valley schools. She was employed with the Breneman- Hartshorn Shade Company, Oswego Candy Works and later retired as a cook from SUNY Oswego. Blanche loved to crochet and also loved to travel and go camping.
Surviving are her three children, Polly Doyle of Oswego, Mary Jo Lawton of Ohio, James William (Betty) Howell of Ohio, a brother, Robert Hannah of Oklahoma, two sisters, Margie Lambert of Ohio, Virginia Kindell of North Carolina, ten grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren
She was predeceased by her husband James Howell in 1975, two brothers, Arthur and Kenneth Hannah and a son in law Raeburn Doyle in 2000.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 with a service to follow the hours.
