     ThompsonBrad PhotoBradford J. Thompson, 60, a resident of Mitchell Street in Oswego, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at the Oswego Hospital.

     Brad was born in Oswego, a son of the late Murray and Audrey (Daniels) Thompson. He was a life resident.

     He had been employed as a boilermaker on many area projects and was a member of Boilermakers Local #175.
     At one time, he had been very involved as a trainer in the sport of harness racing. He trained horses that raced at many area tracks, including Vernon Downs, Batavia Downs, The Buffalo Raceway and the Oswego County Fair.
     Brad loved animals, especially his 10 grand-dogs. He also enjoyed dirt-modified auto racing and motocross racing.
     He is survived by his wife, Lori Meader, of Oswego; three sons, Joseph (Misty) Thompson, of Iowa, Justin (Danielle) Thompson and Zachary Thompson, both of Oswego; a daughter, Heather (Rick) Hutchinson, of Iowa; two brothers, Alexander (Cheri) Thompson and Lynn (Stephanie) Thompson, both of Oswego; four grandsons; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 27, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
     Calling hours will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 E. Second St., in Oswego.
