
Brenda L. Bartlett, 53, passed away on Tuesday, May 12th, after a 3-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Brenda was one of 11 children born to Lee M. Bartlett and Phyllis L (Johnson) Bartlett. She grew up in Mexico, and spent most of her life in Oswego.
She enjoyed her family's camp, and spent a lot of her time there with her grandchildren and family. She loved to ride four-wheelers while she was there. She was an avid NASCAR fan, and her favorite driver was Tony Stewart. Brenda was a very talented baker and cake decorator, and shared her skills by teaching classes at BOCES. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her father, Lee Bartlett; her mother; Phyllis Bartlett; 2 brothers, Randy Bartlett and Terry Bartlett; and a sister, Sheila Wallis.
She is survived by a daughter, Kristin (Pete Elkin) Bartlett of Oswego; 2 grandchildren, Bailey Elkin and Lauren Elkin of Oswego; her siblings Tim (Chris) Bartlett of Parish, Jamie (Lynn) Bartlett of Volney, Gerry (Jean) Bartlett of Scriba, Bonnie Perchway of Oswego, Lorraine (Dennis Mallett) of Mexico, Jeff (Michelle) Bartlett of Palermo, Russell (Jennifer) Bartlett of Mexico, Stephanie Smith of Pulaski, and Kevin (Lynda Anne) Wallis of Palermo; a large extended family including many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; and a long-time close friend, Peggy McRae of Oswego.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Tuesday, at the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00 to 7:00pm Monday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
