She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Maurice and Dorothy White Merritt.
Brenda was a member of the VFW Post 2320 Women’s Auxiliary and the Oswego Moose Lodge 748.
She was a HUGE NY Yankee and Miami Dolphins fan.
Brenda is survived by two brothers, Paul Merritt of Fulton and David (Killeen) Merritt of Fairport, two sisters Lou-Ann Ahart of Oswego and Sue (Gary Babcock) Merritt of Oswego and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Becky Thompson and Debbie Loftus, both of Oswego.
Graveside services will be held in St. Peter’s Cemetery Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00A.M. There are no calling hours.
A celebration of Brenda’s life will take place Saturday following the cemetery services at the home of her sister 224 East Tenth St. in Oswego.
Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
