The Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, together with the Office of Oswego County Clerk, Michael C. Backus, today announced that it will host a business and community roundtable meeting.
Mr. Backus will join the group for its monthly meeting on July 27. The meeting will be held at the Canal Commons Conference Room located at 203 West First Street on the lower level. The roundtable meeting will start promptly at 3:30 PM.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for Mr. Backus to share his vision on millennial leadership and to set forth initiatives that he supports to strengthen Oswego and Central New York’s economy. Mr. Backus hopes to gain valuable feedback from business owners, managers, and community residents who are also interested in the next generation of employees and entrepreneurs.
“The Chamber knows the importance of connecting local businesses with their elected government officials and is eager to bring this benefit to the people of Oswego. By community members asking Mr. Backus questions about issues they face it gives him a better idea of changes that need to be made,” stated Greg Mills, director of the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
“I am always proud to share the great work we do in the Oswego County Clerk’s office and it’s an honor to partner with the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce. As the youngest County Clerk in New York State there is a unique opportunity for me to share with employers and community members what it’s like to lead as a millennial,” said Mr. Backus.
The roundtable is open to credentialed members of the media. Details are as follows:
