
C. James Weinhold, 84, of Fulton died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital, Syracuse.
Mr. Weinhold was born in Philadelphia, NY the son of the late Charles and Carrie (Parker) Weinhold. Mr. Weinhold served in the United States Navy for seven years during the Korean War, and fifteen years in the Air force, with the Boys from Syracuse. He retired from Western Electric, Syracuse after thirty years as an inspector, and later work in the maintenance department with the Fulton City School District. He was Past Commander of the VFW Post 569, Fulton; and Past Commander of the American Legion, Fulton; he was a member of the Veterans Council, and the Knight of Columbus. He was a Eucharistic minister at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton and a BINGO inspector.
Mr. Weinhold is survived by his wife Theresa (Kidd) Weinhold of Fulton, sons Gary (Jane) Weinhold of FL; Steve (Lynn) Weinhold of FL; his daughter Cheryl (Bruce) Smith of Sackets Harbor; stepsons Don (Debbie) Kidd of FL; Gregg (Karen) Kidd of Manlius; his sister Ida Mae Weinhold of FL, and several grandchildren great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Pauline Weinhold and several siblings.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Fulton, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 7:00 p.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home 224 W. 2nd. St. S. Fulton.
