The federal Veterans’ Health Administration welcomes local veterans to its free annual picnic on Friday, June 27!
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oswego VA Outpatient Clinic, located at 293 NYS Rte. 104 in the Creekside Plaza behind Kentucky Fried Chicken in Oswego.
Lunch is provided by Clear Path for Veterans and includes pulled chicken and biscuits, garlic mashed potatoes, tossed salad and Boston crème pie for dessert.
Representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA), Clear Path for Veterans and Oswego County Veterans’ Services Agency (VSA) will be on hand to connect with local veterans and discuss the variety of resources that may be available to them.
Attendees can learn about VA health care enrollment, the My HealtheVet portal and get telehealth assistance. They can also get updates on the Pact Act, find out about the veterans’ service officer assistance program and receive other benefits information and community resources.
