Write a commentFundraiser season continues this weekend with parties on tap for Oswego Speedway Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super Series drivers Camden Proud and Mike Bruce.
Bruce Racing will hold their team fundraiser for its No. 22 Small Block effort on Saturday, April 9 at the Woodchuck Saloon in Oswego, beginning at 1 p.m.
A $10 donation includes chicken BBQ or pulled pork dinners.
The afternoon will also include several raffles, a 50/50 drawing, as well as music from Ron Gray’s Millennium Music.
Bruce finished the 2015 season 13th in the overall driver standings with two heat race victories, four top five finishes, and six top ten runs.
The second fundraiser this weekend will be for former Pathfinder Bank SBS Rookie of the Year, Camden Proud.
The Proud Motorsports No. 54 fundraiser will take place Sunday, April 10 at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego, beginning at noon.
A $10 donation will include chicken BBQ and pulled pork dinners for the day.
A large number of door prizes, raffles, and lottery boards will be available at the event including movie passes from Zurich Cinemas and Oswego Cinema 7 as well as a $20 gift certificate to Fajita Grill.
Proud drove to an 11th place finish in the 2015 SBS driver standings with a heat race win, one top five finish, and eight top ten runs.
Kids 16 and under will again be admitted free at all Speedway events in 2016 with the exception of Budweiser International Classic Weekend and Race of Champions Weekend.
On track activity beings at Oswego Speedway on Saturday, May 7 with the annual open test session for all racing divisions. Testing will run from 1-5pm on May 7 and is free for spectators to sit in the main grandstand.
Racing action at the Speedway begins on Saturday, May 14 featuring the Speedway’s 66th consecutive opening night highlighted by the Race of Champions Modified Richie Evans Memorial 61 as well as kick-off events for the Novelis Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS.
