Canale Insurance owners David and Tracy Canale have merged their company with Bill Symons` Computer Accounting Services to create the ultimate insurance and accounting package for its customers.
The Canale brothers bought Symons' company, which was established in 1971, in hopes to continue to provide top-quality service to their customers. Although Symons no longer owns Computer Accounting Services, he will continue to manage that division of Canale Insurance.
"Bill will still be involved with every part of that business today as he always has been," David Canale said. "We admire all the work he has put into his business and we're looking forward to work with him in order to provide a great service to our customers."
Symons wanted to sell his business in order to free up some of his time, but he has no intentions of retiring.
"I wanted to scale back hours without sacrificing services to my customers," Symons said. "I'm still going to be a part of it but I'll be able to rest a little bit more when I need to."
Symons said he didn't want to sell his business to just anyone.
"I still wanted to keep it local to Oswego," Symons said. "I didn't want to sell it to big markets in Rochester or Syracuse. I started it local and I wanted to keep it that way."
So Symons thought who better to continue his successful business than the Canale brothers.
"They have such a wonderful relationship with their customers and the community which is something that's important in considering who I should sell my business to," Symons said. "David and Tracy have a successful business so I know Computer Accounting Services is in really good hands."
The Canale brothers established Canale Insurance in February of 2003 and it's been a prosperous business since.
"We're hoping that fusing both companies together will benefit our customers in every way it can," Tracy Canale said.
Canale Insurance provides services for homeowners, allowing them to customize their insurance for a better customer service. They also provide automobile services, recreational services—including campers and motorcycles—as well as business services.
Now, Canale Insurance will not only provide its own services, but also that of Computer Accounting Services which includes payroll, bookkeeping, online filing, tax preparation and invoicing/bill pay.
Although both companies are now one, Canale Insurance's location still remains at 35 E. 4th St. The Canale brothers said a possible location move may be in their future, but there is no hurry to move right away.
"We're excited to launch our joint services to our customers and we can't wait to continue to build on top of Bill's 40 years of service as well as to our 10 years of service to this community," David Canale said.
