Write a commentCatherine A. “Kate” Brooks, 40, a resident of West Seneca Street in Oswego, passed away Wednesday, at the Oswego Hospital.
Kate was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Donald Galla Sr., and the late Christina Mastaw. She was a graduate of Mexico High School.
She had been employed as a department manager at Walmart in Oswego, and was a member of the Oswego Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, John Brooks of Oswego; her father, Donald Galla Sr. of Fulton; five children, Megan Brooks of Lacona, Crystal (Berzayn) Brooks-Vasquez of Oswego, Allen Brooks of Oswego, Janie Brooks of Oswego, and Carrie Brooks of Oswego; two sisters, Lisa Rourke of Kentucky, and Susan (Jim) Hudson of Fulton; two brothers, Donald (Serina) Galla Jr. of Palermo, and Charles Beedy of Fulton; two grandchildren, Myah Johnson of Lacona, and Justin Johnson of Lacona; her mother-in-law, Sally Parker of Mexico; her father-in-law, Dennis Brooks Sr. of Mexico; two brothers-in-law, Michael Brooks of Maple View, and Dennis Brooks Jr. of Mexico; a sister-in-law, Kimberly Brooks of Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 Wednesday, November 3rd, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery.
All those attending the service are requested to wear masks.
