It is fair to say that real estate is in the blood when it comes to Ryan’s family.

In the mid-1960s, Ryan’s grandparents, Thomas and Bridget Galloway, began selling real estate and insurance out of their home in Oswego. In 1994, Ryan’s father, Bill, and his wife, Elaine, purchased CENTURY 21 Galloway Realty from his grandfather, with Bill becoming the broker-owner.

Ryan was initially focused on a career outside the family business, but like his father, ultimately worked his way into it. After graduating high school in 2009, Ryan spent every summer working in the office, taking on an increasing number of responsibilities behind the scenes including office management, advertising, and social media, before ultimately becoming the office compliance coordinator.

“As I began to help more behind the scenes, I came to like the business more and more," said Ryan. "I learned so much from my dad, mom, and the agents who were incredible mentors, their experience and enthusiasm proving invaluable as I’ve come to better understand the industry.”

After gaining professional and management experience outside the company after college, Ryan decided to stay in the family business and make it his career; it felt like the right fit. He obtained his real estate license in 2020 and quickly became an essential part of the CENTURY 21 Galloway Realty team, focusing on new agent training, MLS compliance, and online transaction programs. His dedication and hard work have been recognized with numerous awards, including being honored as a Quality Service Provider in 2021, 2023, and earning the sales-based Masters Ruby award in 2022.

Ryan cites lessons learned in customer service and problem-solving from previous jobs as strengths that have complemented his professional training with CENTURY 21 Galloway Realty helping him navigate a dynamic industry where a steady hand and ability to pivot are essential to success.

This experience will serve him well as he prepares to step up internally with the retirement of his mother, Elaine. Over the past year, Ryan and Elaine have worked closely in every aspect of the business, preparing him to take over many of her responsibilities. Ryan’s knowledge of both the sales and back-office aspects, along with his strong relationships with the agents, makes him well-suited for the position. Alongside his father, Bill, the two will work as a team, leveraging their experience to maintain the family tradition and provide unmatched service to the Greater Oswego area.

“I have lived my whole life in Oswego and chose to live here. Helping a couple or family finally get the house of their dreams is a great feeling, not only for our clients but also for the community. Oswego and CENTURY 21 Galloway Realty are my home.”

As Ryan steps into his new role he is helping his father to steer the family business ship with confidence and excitement, carrying on the family legacy and building upon the solid foundation laid by his grandfather and father.

We are excited to see him continue to grow and lead the next generation of CENTURY 21 Galloway Realty!
