Part of the CNY Great Pumpkin Festival, the Chamber's Pumpkin Pie Contest received entries from throughout Oswego County. Following a lengthy evaluation that included texture, aroma, presentation, and of course, taste, the judges chose Dahar's entry as the best pumpkin pie.
The judges included Rev. Richard Klafehn, pastor of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection and Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier, Superintendent of Fort Ontario State Historic Site Paul Lear and Victoria Usherwood of iHeart Oswego.
Brian Fowler and Joseph Harrington finished second and third respectively.
