Charles M. Dumas, 75, a resident of Dutch Ridge Road, in Scriba, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Viola (Haresign) Dumas of Minetto.
He was retired from the New York Power Authority, Labor Local 214.
He was a member of the Oswego County Sheriff Special Forces.
Surviving are a son, Mr. Charles W. Dumas of Oswego; two daughters, Miss. Amy Blake with companion Joseph Fleming, of Mexico; and Kim (Richard) Barber, of Oswego; a brother, Arnold (Joyce) Dumas of Minetto; two sisters, Elaine (Clint) Ylitalo and Ella (Tim) Furman, both of Oswego; grandchildren, Kevin (Mindy) Dumas, Brandon (Samantha) Blake, Mariah Blake, Jill Dumas and companion Shad Gates, Dustin, Cassandra, Alyse and Jessica Fleming; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Amber, and Willow Dumas; Justin, Juliana, Jasmine and Jaden Gates; his companion of 18 years, Anna Hammond; and her children, Johnny Hammond, Chrissy Hammond and companion Carl Fellows, Tom Hammond and companion Joanna Caruso and Rich (Michelle) Gillen;. Anna Hammond's grandchildren, Derek Bivens, Dominic Gillen, Matt Hammond, Katie Fellows, Johnny and Amber Hammond, Marissa and Greg Hammond.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mrs. Virginia (Sweeting) Dumas.
Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
