Christine D. Cerklewich, 54, of Oswego died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 peacefully at home with her family and four golden retrievers.
Born in Syracuse, she lived in Central New York most of her life.
Mrs. Cerklewich worked as the director of Oswego County Department of Social Services. She enjoyed hiking with her family and her golden retrievers and she was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Paul Cerklewich, of Oswego; one daughter, Dr. Nicole Cerklewich, of Binghamton; five siblings, Deborah Auricchio, Edward Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Patrick Johnson and Joseph Johnson; her mother, Arlene Johnson; godmother, Valerie Dlugosz; and several nieces, nephews and close friends.
Mrs. Cerklewich was predeceased by her father, William Johnson, Dec. 25, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, from St. Mary's Church, Oswego, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, at the Sugar and Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
