Write a commentThe CNY Great Pumpkin Fest is all things pumpkin and the Golden Pumpkin Contest is no exception to that delicious rule.
The contest gives participating businesses throughout Oswego county the opportunity to be creative by producing a pumpkin-flavored item. The item can be a dessert, beverage, treat of any kind, etc.
The contest offers two categories in which an entry may qualify under: savory and sweet. Each participating business may only enter one item for each category. The item must then appear on the businesses’ menu starting Sept. 26 and ending Oct. 5. Judging will take place between Sept. 26 and Oct. 3. Eight item samples must be provided for the judges.
This contest, created by iHeart Oswego, promotes the creativity of local businesses throughout Oswego county and it provides businesses with the opportunity to showcase their culinary talents.
The Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce will promote all participating businesses along with their pumpkin-flavored creation.
The winning item will receive the Golden Pumpkin Business Badge which may then be used on the business’ website or social media.
Registration forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce office, East Fourth and Bridge Streets.
This tasty contest is sure to start off the CNY Great Pumpkin Fest in all the right ways.
