Hundreds of community members filled the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center to enjoy some hot wings and cold brews at the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County's (CAC) 4th Annual Chicken Wing Fest. The event raised more than $22,000 to help support the agency's efforts to combat and prevent child abuse in Oswego County.

"Our 4th Annual Chicken Wing Fest was a tremendous success! Thanks to our many supporters and the more than 700 community members who attended the event, we raised some much needed funds that will allow us to continue to provide services to victims of child abuse in Oswego County," said Damm.

Contestants in this year's competition included: Greene's Ale House, Canale's Restaurant, The Press Box, Jimmie James BBQ, Oswego Ancient Order of Hibernians, Kristen's Kitchen at Battle Island, G& S Steamer's, Garafolo's Importing, The Red Sun Fire Roasting Co., Alex's on the Water, Bistro 197, and the Office Tavern.

Greene's Ale House, 104 West Bridge Street in Oswego defended its title and won the Golden Chicken Trophy for the third consecutive year. Jimmie James BBQ, 5840 St. Rt. 104 in Scriba captured the plaque for Best Signature Wing and Kristen's Kitchen at Battle Island won the award for Best Traditional Wings.

"I extend a sincere thank you to all of our chicken wing contestants, as well as Eagle Beverage for providing the brews, ciders and wines. They are all winners for supporting the Child Advocacy Center and making our 4th Annual Chicken Wing Fest a success, said Damm.
