Following up The Oswego Player`s 76th season starter, The Dining Room, desert lovers will be in for a real treat with their next production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, directed by Jennifer Snow, based on the book by Roald Dahl and dramatized by Richard R. George.
Area cast members include Megan Murtha, Emily Yamada, Ella Shambo, Olivia DeLorenzo, Elijah Shambo, Donald Crowe, Selene Belrad, Michael Moss, Sarah Thomas, Ken Snow, Matthew Caraccioli, Joshua DeLorenzo, Stephanie Johnson, Matthew Gordon, Knate Roy, Beverly Murtha, Joanie Anderson, Chris Metz, Isaac Shambo, Cheyenna Gordon, Colin LaFleur, Elizabeth LaFleur, Brooklyn LaFleur, Courtney Crouch, Brooklyn Saternow, Mariah Pepper, Destiny Brummett, Kyra Baker, Morgan Russell and Rueby.
The director, Jennifer Snow, a teacher for the Camden School District, thought it would be fun for community children and the young of heart to have a chance to be a golden ticket winner. Stone's Homemade Candies and Ice Cream has agreed to partner with the Oswego Players, Inc to try and make this dream come true.

Visit Stone's Homemade Candy from April 1st through April 18th at 145 W. Bridge Street in Oswego and, for any donation, you can pick up a small bar that may have a golden ticket inside! Golden ticket winners will receive one free ticket to the play, a back stage pass to meet the cast, and a one day internship at Stone's to learn how delicious candy is made and even make some. Stone's Candy has graciously agreed to donate the proceeds to Oswego Players, Inc., to be used toward their student scholarship fund.
"Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" opens at 8 p.m., Friday, April 18, in the Frances Marion Brown Theatre in the Oswego Arts Center at Fort Ontario. Performances will continue at 8 p.m., Saturday, April 19, and the following weekend at 8 p.m., April 25-26 with a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday, April 27.
Ticket prices are $10/adults; $8/seniors and $7/students. Reservations are advised and can be made through the Box Office at 315-343-5138.
