Deborah C. Loftus, 57 of Oswego passed away Monday at Upstate Medical University Hospital.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Maurice and Dorothy E. White Merritt. Mrs. Loftus had been employed for many years in the Housekeeping Department of St. Luke Health Services, Inc. She was the widow of the late Kenneth Loftus who died in 1991.
Deborah was a Life time Member of the VFW Post 2320. She was a member of the Oswego Moose Lodge and enjoyed golfing, darts, creating puzzles and collecting frogs. She always looked forward to gatherings of family and friends.
She is survived by her partner Donald (Honker) Murray, Jr., of Oswego, three daughters Rebecca (Robert) Gibson, Erin (Thomas Salls) Loftus both of Oswego, Kesha (Kenneth Coleman) Loftus of Syracuse, two brothers Paul Merritt of Fulton, David (Kelly) Merritt of Rochester, three sisters, Luann (Donald Watson) Ahart, Brenda Merritt, Suzanne ( Gary Babcock) all of Oswego, four grandchildren Amber Thompson, Tiara Gibson, Emma Salls, Alexandra "Alley" Salls, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister Becky Thompson.
Funeral services will be Friday 8:30AM from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 9:00AM in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-7PM at the funeral home.
