Write a commentDenise Lee Downs, 54 of Oswego passed away Monday January 16, 2023 at Upstate Medical University Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born in New Albany, Indiana on August 25, 1968
Denise had several careers over her lifetime. She traveled the country running a door to door sales crew for many years, was a ZMS at Walmart for her next career, and then decided to go back to school and become a Licensed Practical Nurse as her final career. She was most recently employed with ConnextCare in Fulton as an LPN.
Denise was kind hearted and hilarious, and threw herself into everything she did in life 100%. She was one of the most passionate, sincere, loving people you could ever meet, and if you were blessed to have known her, you knew how special she was.
She is predeceased by her father Tommy Jackson and her Stepfather Bill Downs Jr. Surviving are her mother Linda Downs, her two sisters Tammy (Mark) Shane of Kentucky, Stephanie (John) Brindos of Indiana, her nieces Brittany, Morgan, Marika, Madoliene, Marissa, and Mallory, her nephew Clint, her best friend Heather (Braley) and honorary son Gabriel, her beloved doggies Phineas and Ferb, and countless friends who thought the world of her.
There are no calling hours, but a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
