Obituaries

Denise Munger, 68, of Fulton passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her family.

Denise was born in Syracuse to Vernon and Fern (Cronk) Gebo.

She worked for many years in food services for the Phoenix Central School District.

Denise was an adoring mother and grandmother who loved sewing, baking, and quilting for her family. She always looked forward to her trips out West to visit her daughter and family, where many lasting memories were made. Denise had an appreciation for wildlife and especially enjoyed watching hummingbirds.  She was also facinated with the wild buffalo she saw when visiting her daughter.

Denise is survived by her loving children Charnel (Robert) Banik of South Dakota and Adam (Shalene Lando) Munger of Fulton. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Nevaeh Lando and Adam Munger Jr, as well as her brother Oliver (Penny) Gebo and sister Loretta (Jesse) Shue.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, April 16th at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. A service will follow at 6 pm.
