The Oswego Public Library Public Computing Center (PCC) offers free digital technology workshops for children 9-12 years of age. The library will be offering weekly, two-hour classes which will focus on utilizing specific digital media tools as well as supervised exploration of fun and safe websites in hopes of expanding our student's knowledge of the internet beyond the "Likes" of Facebook and other potentially unreliable sites.
Practice will include everything from creating and editing music using free software, creating digital art with programs like Photoshop, brainstorming for school projects with Mind mapping tools, webpage creation and design using free hosting sites and architecture or interior design using Google's Sketchup. Does your child need a little extra help with programs they regularly use in school? All this and more is available at the Oswego Public Computing Center.
The schedule of Digital Media Club events includes:
Jan. 30 – Wii Fit in the Oswego Public Library Community Room 4-6 p.m.
