Write a commentDonald R. Geers, 86 of Oswego passed away Thursday evening at his home.
He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Fred and Viola Lass Geers.
Mr. Geers was the husband of Joanne F. Michaels Geers.
He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church.
Mr. Geers was retired from the Oswego Housing Authority. Previously he had been employed at Musico’s Body Shop , Ebert Buick and Gunn Buick.
He served in the US Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three son, Donald “Rick” (Merideth) Geers, Jr. of Georgetown, NY, Gregory (Cheryl) Geers and Kevin (Annette) Geers both of Oswego, seven grandchildren, Joshua (wife Ashley), Benjamin, Jacob, Briana, Courtney, Matthew and Stephen, three great grandchildren, Olivia, Julia and Lilith.
He was predeceased by a sister Nona Shaw.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
