
Doris Eileen Donahue, 92, a resident of Oswego, died September 17, 2016 at St. Luke Health Services.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Nina (Eckard) Maloney.
She enjoyed working as a waitress for over 40 years at local restaurants including the DuBois Hotel, Pleasant Beach Hotel, Oswego Speedway, Pontiac Hotel, Lock Restaurant and the Captain’s Lounge where she retired from in 1989.
She enjoyed playing softball and was an avid golfer and bowler. She was inducted into the local Bowling Hall of Fame in 1981.
She loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are three daughters, Susan (Jerry) Altimonda; Kathleen Spilman; Laurie Donahue, all of Oswego; a son Daniel Donahue of Fargo, N.D.; a sister Carolyn (Perry) Lesselyoung of Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews including her goddaughter Dorie Lisk.
She was predeceased by a son David Donahue, a brother Harry Maloney and a sister Rosemary Holliday.
In honoring her wish, there will be no calling hours.
