Write a commentDorothy P. Loomis, 81 of Oswego passed away Monday January 16, 2023 at Crouse Hospital.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late James and Pearl Copeland Jackson.
Mrs. Loomis was the widow of the late Starr G. Loomis.
She was a life resident of Oswego and was formerly employed as a cook at the Oswego County Jail.
She was a life long member of the West Baptist Church in Oswego.
She is survived by two daughters Jo Ann Collett and Shirley (Timothy) Hammond both of Scriba, one son James (Amelia) Loomis of Oswego, two sisters Jean E. Serling of Syracuse and Donna L. Spicer of North Carolina, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Loomis was predeceased by three children, Robert G. Loomis, Pamela J. Cristiano and Gerald S. Loomis and one brother James G. Jackson.
Calling hours will take place Tuesday 4-6pm at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with a service to follow at 6PM.
Spring burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery.
