   Ponzi  Elizabeth A. Ponzi, 62, of Oswego died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego,after a long illness.

     Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Corrine (Whitney) Paternoster.
     She enjoyed Bingo, crocheting, karaoke, reading Harlequin books and spending time with her grandchildren.
     Elizabeth worked as an in-service coordinator and CNA instructor at St. Luke's Health Sevices for many years. She was also a registered nurse at Pontiac Nursing Home for 23 years.
     She is survived by her children, Joseph C. Ponzi, of Fulton, Angela M. LaQuire and Bobbie Jo Ponzi, both of Oswego; three brothers, William Paternoster, John (Jean) Paternoster and Robert (Betty) Paternoster, all of Oswego; two sisters, Laura (Jerry) Burnett, of Fulton, and Marcella (John) Gibson, of Oswego; two grandchildren, Felecia (Paul) Reed and Jacob Ponzi; a great-grandchild, Natalie Reed; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Ernest Paternoster; and son-in-law, Timothy LaQuire.
     Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Sugar and Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego.
     Calling hours will be prior to the services, from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home, 147 W. 4th. St., Oswego.
