There is still time to sign up for an evening hike around Beaver Marsh Trail, which will take place on Friday, May 10th at 6:30 p.m. at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center.
The Beaver Marsh Trail leads to Beaver Marsh Pond and the popular observation deck and highlights the different wetland animals and habitats that can be found throughout Oswego County. Visitors who listen closely will be able to hear the calls of spring peepers and other frog species that are out this time of year. Even though birds and mammals are settling down for the evening, the pond will still be buzzing with excitement!
More information and registration can be found on the CCE website: https://thatscooperativeextension.org/events. The fee for this program is only $4 per person, or $12 for a family. Children under the age of three are free! The recommended age for these programs is 5+. All youth must be accompanied by an adult.
If you are unable to attend the programs, trails at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center are open from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year. There is no parking fee, and there is a map of the trails when you arrive.
