The NMPNS FLS Peer Group is truly demonstrating what it means to have Pride in the Point and Pride in our Community.
Exelon Generation’s Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station (NMPNS) first line supervisor (FLS) peer group, led by Eric Dawson – Maintenance, and Len Lawton – Security, developed plans to complete a number of community service projects as a way to promote teambuilding within the group while giving back to our community.
On July 20, nine first-line supervisors met at the Oswego Little League fields to paint the dugouts and made much progress before getting rained out. Three of them returned the next day to finish the job. City of Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow and the little league president, Tim Kirwan, stopped by to thank the volunteers and join them for a photo opportunity.
“We plan to continue with community service projects across the County and expand the effort beyond just the FLS peer group members,” said Dawson. “This is a great opportunity for all employees to join in with giving back to this community which has provided us with tremendous support. Even small acts such as painting dugouts can make an impact and serve to demonstrate our appreciation.”
