Write a commentFamily and friends gathered at St. Luke Health Services for a Memorial Service held in honor of residents who recently passed away.
The ceremony was led by St. Luke CEO and Administrator Terrence Gorman; COO and Assistant Administrator Catherine Gill; and Terri Pratt, Director of Social Services. Kathy Zeigler was the featured soloist and song leader.
As each deceased resident's name was read, family or St. Luke staff placed a flower in remembrance of the resident on a Memorial Wreath. Words of remembrance from family, songs, prayers and even some laughter as joyful memories of residents' lives were recounted, were all a part of the ceremony.
"Families put their trust in St. Luke and we think it is appropriate to both remember and to celebrate the lives of those who have gone before us, and also to share in the feelings of loss families may be experiencing," said Social Services Director Theresa Pratt, who helped organize the service.
