Florence Jean Tonkin, 80, a resident of Oswego passed away on August 15 at the Seneca Hill Manor.
Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late John and Jessie (Arroway) Wallace and was a graduate of the Oswego High School. She was employed with Nestle's, General Electric and Metropolitan Water Board.. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and loved to go shopping.
Surviving are her daughter, Theresa (Dennis) Wallace of Oswego, her son, Richard (Antoinette) Tonkin of Oswego, a sister, Frances McLaughlin , two brothers, Thomas Wallace and Richard Wallace, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard Tonkin in 1980 and her daughter, Kathy Vandish in 2008.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 from the Dowdle Funeral Home.
Burial will be in St.Peter's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00.
