Weigelt     Francis G. "Bomber" Weigelt, 77, a resident of Murray Street, in Oswego, went to be with his Lord and savior with his family at his side Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the Oswego Hospital.

     He worked as a mechanic at Niagara Mohawk for 37 years, retiring in 1994.

     Bomber was an avid softball player and had pitched a perfect game. He was one of the original inductees in the softball hall of fame.

     He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golf. He was an avid Yankee fan. He was a member of the Fulton Alliance Church, where he was an elder, and also a member of the Oswego Alliance Church.

     Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Sheila (Pullen) Weigelt; two daughters, Terry (Phil) Roberts ,of Punta Gorda, Fla., Annlyn (Eric) Michaloski, of Rochester; three sons, Michael (Donna) Weigelt, Tim (Brandy) Weigelt and Mark (Sarah) Weigelt, all of Oswego; five sisters, Charlotte (Donald) Clark, of Baldwinsville, Patricia (Donald) Edwards, of Maine, Grace Bellinger and Marion (Ed) Murray, both of Oswego, and Theresa (Francis) Micelli, of California; a sister-in-law, Betty Weigelt; a brother-in-law, John Turner; Paula Weigelt, mother of Nicole and Brian; 12 grandchildren, Jason Weigelt, Daniel Weigelt, Michelle Michaloski, Nicole Weigelt, Jessica Michaloski, Kati Thurman, Geoff Roberts, Brian Weigelt, Caleb Michaloski, Elizabeth Michaloski, Zachery Michaloski and Mallory Weigelt; six great-grandchildren, Ben Weigelt, Kayla Weigelt, Gabriella Weigelt, Taylor Thurman, Myer Thurman and Jaks Weigelt; and several nieces and nephews.

     He was predeceased by a brother, Neil Weigelt; and a sister, Nancy Turner.
     Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, from the Oswego Alliance Church, Thompson Road.
     Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery.
     Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., in Oswego.
