Babies don’t come with a manual, and there is a lot to learn when it comes to becoming a new parent.
In an effort to help prepare individuals for this new journey, a group of community stakeholders and volunteers are throwing a Free Community Baby Shower on February 28th, 2024 from 11am-2pm at Catholic Charities located at 808 W. Broadway, Fulton, NY 13069. The Community Baby Shower will feature education and resources on a variety of topics relating to being a new parent and ways to keep your baby safe- all in a fun, interactive environment.
New and expecting parents can learn about diapering, bathing, safe sleep, ways to bond with your baby, car seat safety, CPR, breastfeeding and bottle feeding, info for Dads and support people, lead poisoning, health insurance assistance, navigating transportation options, connection to community resources, and much more.
The event will feature and live DJ and photo booth, light refreshments, and various raffles and give-a-way items. Pre-registration preferred but not required. For more information on the event and to pre-register, visit the event page on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ccoswego/events
