Linda Eagan, administrative director for Fulton Block Builders, (FBB), gave a report on their inaugural 2017 projects and results at the January meeting of the Fulton Lions Club, said Michelle Stanard, club president.

Fulton Block Builders is a neighborhood revitalization program that helps both homeowner and property owners recover part of the cost of their property improvements. “We built a great deal of neighborhood pride in 2017, “ Eagan said. “Thanks to the financial support of the Fulton Lions Club, and so many other service clubs, businesses and individuals, there was a quarter of a million dollars invested in 22 district blocks and 127 properties in 2017.

“Property owners invested three times the FBB reimbursement, there was zero increase in tax assessment due to FBB improvements, and other cities have asked FBB to share information for programs in their neighborhoods.”

The Fulton Lions Club, also known for their Lions Loot Sweepstakes, Lions Mane Event Comedy Night, and annual Duck Derby, provides financial assistance for those in need of eyeglasses, eye exams, and hearing aids to residents in the Greater Fulton area.
