The world of crystals, tarot, and all things metaphysical has been gaining popularity over the past couple of years through the influence of business owners and individual energy practitioners.
One of these business owners and practitioners, Heather Hubbard, has made great strides in her entrepreneurial abilities after being featured on the national reality show “The Blox.”
The show is available through alternative viewing on their free app, and just wrapped up their twelfth season with Hubbard as one of many contestants. It was here that she was able to fine-tune her business skills and learn how to be the most successful version of herself through challenges, classes, and coaching.
“Each day of the competition, it was a two hour class and a break for lunch. Then we would come back and have fifteen minutes to write a three-minute presentation on a certain topic and how it related to our business,” Hubbard said. “We would also have a one-on-one with our coach for that day. The coaches are all business owners, most of them are multi-million dollar business owners, so that was amazing.”
In terms of Hubbard’s business journey, she has owned her metaphysical store, A Heathen’s Touch, for four years. Her mission has always been to bring the metaphysical to anyone who is interested and to make it accessible at all levels, even the most basic of beginners.
“We provide a safe space for open minded people to access the knowledge, supplies, healing, and community they need to succeed on their journeys of spiritual understanding and elevation. We are very newbie friendly here. Not all metaphysical stores are created equal and they’re not all super welcoming towards newbies,” Hubbard said. “I pride myself on being newbie friendly because I didn’t really get that when I was in that position.”
Hubbard offers a myriad of goods and services through A Heathen’s Touch in order to help people get in touch with their spirituality when they come to her and her shop. Her background as a massage therapist was her start to interacting with the energy of others, and it all grew from there.
“I learned a little bit about reiki in massage school, and it made sense to me at the time so I took a reiki class back in about 2010. Working as a massage therapist I’m working with their energy a lot, so I learned more about this world and it made sense to me so I just went all in,” Hubbard said.
Reiki healing is a form of pseudoscientific medicine that involves a reiki therapist channeling energy into another person to stimulate the body’s natural healing and emotional well-being processes.
Hubbard hosts monthly events at her store that bring like-minded people together to create a community, as well as regular readings and reiki healing sessions. For more information, you can find her website here and visit her store at 732 W Broadway in Fulton.
