The Fulton Lions Club proudly presents the running of the 27th annual Duck Derby, from noon to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, said Michelle Stanard, club president.
“This year there will by prizes for the 22 top finishers as well as the last place duck, with a grand prize of $2,500,” said Zach Merry, event chair. “ There are also over fifty local raffle prizes to be won on the day of the event, and The Fabulous Ripcords, sponsored by Community Bank N.A., will provide live entertainment all day!”
The event is in Canal Park, behind Tavern on the Lock. Duck tickets can be purchased the day of the event or pre-event online at www.fultonlionsclub.com and click on “What’s Happening.” Tickets can also be purchased at The Fulton Medicine Place, Chirello Advertising, or from any Fulton Lion. In addition, Lions will be selling tickets at Mimi’s Drive-in from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Aug. 24 and 25; and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Aug. 26 and 27. They will also be selling tickets there at the same times the following weekend, Aug. 31 through Sept. 3.
Fulton’s Lions Club, also known for their Lions Loot Sweepstakes, and Lions Mane Event Comedy Night, provides financial assistance for those in need of eyeglasses, eye exams, and hearing aids to residents in the Greater Fulton area.
