Fulton Noon Rotary President Brittney Jerred announced the club will be hosting historian Bob Coant on November 14, 2024.

The meeting, which will be open to the public, will be held at noon at the Tavern on the Lock in Fulton. Lunch is available for $10 a person.

“We’re so excited about this presentation,” said Jerred. When she announced the topic to the club, a chorus of oohs and aahs filled the room.

Coant, who is the Town of Volney historian, will be discussing the history and battle of Battle Island, which is situated on the Oswego River just north of the City of Fulton.
