Born in Fitchburg, Mass, he was the son of the late Paul Joseph and Sharon (Gowell) Thibodeau.
He was a US Marine Veteran having served from 1974-1976.
Gary worked construction most of his life until a fall made him disabled. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, playing darts and working on his cars.
Surviving are his daughter, Jennifer Maillet of Canada; three brothers, Richard Thibodeau of Scriba; Henry Boivin Jr. of Gardner, MA; John Boivin Sr. of Leominster, MA; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Sharon (Raposa) Thibodeau and sisters, Joanne Barlow and Judy Greene.
There will be calling hours on Saturday, August 25th from 1-4 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
