Whether you're a beginner or expert geocacher, come learn the basics or sharpen your skills on Saturday, October 21st at 2:00 p.m. and Let’s Geocache!

Did you know there are over 3 million geocaches hidden around the world? Are you unfamiliar with the term geocache or geocaching? Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor adventure that you can do year-round, almost like a treasure hunt. Whether you're a beginner or expert geocacher, come learn the basics or sharpen your skills on Saturday, October 21st at 2:00 p.m. and Let’s Geocache! Following a presentation by our environmental educator, the group will head out and try to find the four geocaches hidden on the Center's property. There are geocaches hidden all over Oswego County, and one may even be close to your home!

It is suggested that one individual per family/group has the free smartphone app downloaded before coming to the program, so you can follow along and learn how to use the app, which can be found at the official Geocaching website - https://www.geocaching.com/play/mobile.

If you aren’t able to attend the program, the trails are open from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year. There is no parking fee, and there is a map of the trails when you arrive.

This program is designed for nature lovers of all ages; anyone from individuals to families are encouraged to attend! All youth must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program. The fee for this program is only $4 per person, or $12 for a family. Children under the age of three are free! Preregistration is requested.
