Write a commentGeorge W. Becksted Jr., 82, a resident of Oswego, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Seneca Hill manor.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late George W. and Violet (Lawyer) Becksted Sr.
George was a member of the National Guard.
He worked as a machinist for Carrier Corporation for 41 years.
George was a member of the Hannibal Mason's Lodge 550, Central City Bodies AASR and the Scottish Rite. in Syracuse.
He is survived by his sisters, Louise (Becksted) Cloonan, of Oswego, and Elise Becksted, of Zephyrhills, Fla.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Harold, Fred and Karl Becksted.
Memorial services will be held at 11a.m., Wednesday,March 27, at Faith United Church.
