Gloria Lyons, 85, a resident of Oswego, passed away June 22, 2015 at Upstate Hospital, Syracuse.
Born in Fulton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Carlton and Velma (Simons) Howard. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and visits to the Casino. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.
Surviving are two sons, Kevin (Debbie) Lyons, of Colorado Springs; Karlton "Birdie" Lyons (Sally Van Buren) of Oswego; a brother, Malcolm (Rose) Simons of Largo, Fl; three grand-children, Sara Lyons, Brad (Autumn) Lyons and Shelby Lyons (Gordon Harrison); a great-granddaughter Sylvie Harrison; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Howard E. Lyons and siblings Howard Simons, Merlin Simons and Fay Simons.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Minetto Cemetery.
